Wilmington (DE) Chapter
The Links, Incorporated

Welcome to the website of the Wilmington (DE) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.

Fulfilling the vision of our Founders, Sarah Strickland Scott and Margaret Rosell Hawkins, to transform communities through service, and by embodying the mission of our national organization to enrich communities and improve the quality of life for people of African descent through friendship and service, is our objective. Our members are influential decision makers and opinion leaders, business and civic leaders, role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work toward a common vision by engaging like-minded organizations and individuals for partnership.

Celebrating our 75th year of serving the Greater Wilmington, Delaware area, we are proud to live our anniversary theme—A Legacy of Service, A Tradition of Friendship, A Promise for the Future. We are forever grateful to our twelve charter members, who on April 10, 1948, made us the third link in the now 299-chapter chain.

Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to partnering with you as we continue to advance the vision and mission of The Links, Incorporated, while serving our community throughout Greater Wilmington, Delaware.
